Contribution terms

With an account, you can suggest places, changes and photos, and report a problem. By contributing, you accept the terms below.

Moderation

Every contribution is checked by a moderator before it is published. A moderator can reject a contribution or remove content that is already published, giving a reason where possible, which you can see in My account → My contributions.

A change never modifies a place directly: it is saved as a suggestion, then reviewed.

What you agree to

  • Accuracy: suggest places that exist and information you believe to be correct. Do not make up opening hours or features: if in doubt, leave the field empty.
  • Photos:
    • they must show the place, and you must have taken them or have the right to share them;
    • no recognisable people and no readable number plates;
    • no shocking or illegal content, and nothing unrelated to the place.
  • Respect: no insulting, discriminatory or advertising content, in descriptions as in reports.
  • Reasonable use: the number of submissions per hour is limited to prevent abuse.

Rights on your contributions

Places imported from OpenStreetMap remain under the ODbL licence (© OpenStreetMap contributors).

Showing your name

Your published contributions show "Added by" and your display name, only if you entered one. Without a display name, nothing is shown.

Deleting your account

If you delete your account, your contributions that are already published stay on the website, anonymised. Those still pending are deleted. See the privacy policy.

Published information is given for guidance only. Check on site or with your commune before you go.
